Giving to the Reading Foundation

Thank you for considering a possible donation or legacy to the Reading Foundation.

Reading School, its pupils and its buildings have benefitted substantially in the past from generous and far-sighted gifts and bequests from the School's former pupils, teachers, and their families. You can donate to the Reading School 1125 Fund for immediate projects - for further details see school website http://www.reading-school.co.uk/20/development.

Alternatively you may choose to donate to the Reading Foundation where funds are held to contribute to the long term benefit of the School. As you can see from this website, such donations can give benefits ranging from school prizes for excellence and achievement, to contributing key funding to projects such as building the refectory.

There are a number of ways in which you can make a gift to the Reading Foundation, and below you will find further details. If you have any questions, please contact the Clerk on admin@readingfoundation.org.uk

Legacy

If you would like to make a legacy to the Reading Foundation, please include it when you write your will, or add it to your existing will through a codicil.

If you would like to discuss this further, please contact the Clerk admin@readingfoundation.org.uk in the first instance, who will put you in touch with the relevant Trustee.

Donation

If you would like to make a one-off donation you can write a cheque payable to The Reading Foundation and send it to:

  • The Clerk,
  • The Reading Foundation,

Alternatively to make an electronic payment on a single or standing order basis please contact the Clerk of the Foundation admin@readingfoundation.org.uk.

Make your gift go further

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase your gift to the Reading Foundation through the Gift Aid scheme. By giving with gift aid you will be allowing the Reading Foundation to reclaim the basic rate income tax (25%) already paid on your donation at no additional cost to you.

To qualify for gift aid, you must have paid income or capital gains tax that is equal to, or more than, the amount of tax that is claimed by each charity you have donated to within that tax year.
